Imran, hopes to start the practice in January

Male', MALDIVES - National Team and Victory's Captain Imran Mohamed has claimed that Football Association of Maldives have never lent any help in the treatment of his severe injury. In an interview given to Victory Sports Club's official website, Imran Mohamed said that even though he played in all the matches except for a single game in the past 7 years for the national team, he is very unhappy with the attitudes shown by FAM.

"I have sent various letters in my own behalf and through Victory Sports Club requesting for help in the recovery. However, the only help I got from FAM was a letter signed by FAM's sports physician Shakeeb's letter saying that the injury could not be cured in Maldives"

Imran also noted that National Team's manager Shah Ismail contacted him and asked him to come and view the practices. However it was practically impossible for him to go to the stadium with the schedules given by his personal instructor for his treatment.

The best goal keeper in the country at the moment also claimed that the past year was one of the worst days in his football career.
"This was surely a difficult period for me. However I have realised that no one appreciates the success that I have contributed to the football in Maldives"

Even though the FA did not actively contribute to his treatment from the injury, Imran noted that he would still continue to play for the National Team.

It does not matter whether Imran got hurt while playing for Victory SC or New Radiant SC or anyother team for that matter. As long as he is (and will be) a valuable asset for our national side, the national team should take alot of responsibility towards his well being. Especially his injuries in this case.
FAM has shown many inadequacies in their management. Especially appointing an incompetent manager for the national team. What credentials does Shah Ismail have to manage the National side of the Republic of Maldives?

i dont agree with ib-shi, even though imran was injured playing for his club, he was a key member of the maldivien national team, and he has continiously played a major role in the success that the maldivien national team has been getting over the years. therefor he deseves all the help that he can get from all the fans, club and also the from all the people who love football. fam is the governing body of football in maldives and it is teir deuty to ensure that the top ranked players are treated well.if they did not help imran as he say's than i am vary sorry to say that fam has failled in it's deuties. if we look at the professional stage also we find all the countries closely guieing all their players so y cant we do the same.it's realy a shame that some of u have the kind of thoughts that "Ib.Shi" has.this. when imran got injured it was not a loss that victory sports club got. it was a loss for the whole nation, and we should keep all our raivalry aside. this was the player who has looked after the maldivien goal for seven long years without even a single complain. this athleat has proven time and time again that he was a maldiven devoted to bring maldives a good name in football. so i belive it was our deuty to stand up for this player when he neede us the most. specially the FAM. FAM has to take the blame if they did not help in imrans recovery, they should even send him a letter of apology

Most of u guys hav given comments without knowing anything.... did you know there are several other players who got injured while playing for their club, but still the so call FAM's officials personally contactd them and asked to let them know of any kind of help they could give from FAM. And many of them got financial help from FAM...anyway VSC is ready for any treatment on thier captain. FAM never appreciated Imran's (the BEST goalkeeper ever born in Maldives) contibution to the National Team... so u guys, talk only if you know abt these things, otherwise keep ur mouth shut...

Imran also noted that National Team's manager Shah Ismail contacted him and asked him to come and view the practices. However it was practically impossible for him to go to the stadium with the schedules given by his personal instructor for his treatment... so then why are they asking him to go and watch practice of national team... FAM did not bother... thats what he is trying to say... atleast FAM should help him to recover soon... there are some players who got ticket and funds from FAM but still got injured when playing for the club... thanks to VSC they did everything for his medication and now he is back again... and you guys talk about NRSC insure there players dont talk shit... what did they do when ANWER got injured he had to do all his medication on his own... where was the so called BIG club insurence for there players NRSC did not even bother about that...

Imran got injured while he was playing on behalf of Victory Sports Club and not while he was playing on behalf of National Team. So there is no chance for him to blame FAM. His own club, Victory should be responsible to give treatment for the injury NOT FAM. SO IMRAN HAS NO RIGHT TO BLAME FAM
